The TTO TRAIL TECH TACHOMETER/HOUR METER Model 72-A00 is a slick little dude. The front panel of the unit is approx. 1" by 2". It stands approx. 9/16" high off the surface it is mounted on. The display provides 1/2" numbers.
The unit is self powered and the Mfg. indicates that the non-replaceable battery will provide approximately 5 years of life. Being self powered and requiring you to wrap one wire around the spark plug wire made setup easy. Once set up the unit seems to work ok. It provides good feedback to monitor the engine speed and hours of operation on my single cylinder four cycle outboard motor. I mounted the unit on the front of the cowl, of my outboard, using industrial Velcro. The Velcro will allow me to remove the unit from the cowl and leave the wiring in place on the motor if and when I need to remove the cowl. I got this unit to monitor the motor during break in and to verify that the prop size and pitch are correct.

The only down sides that I noted are it's lack of a replaceable battery and no provision to provide built in lighting of the display during low light conditions. Other than the minor down sides the unit seems to suit my needs. If it had a replaceable battery and a back light feature I would have given it 5 stars.
